Han So-hee, born Lee So-hee (이소희), is a South Korean actress. She was born on November 18, 1993, in Ulsan, South Korea. Han is primarily active in television and film and is represented by 9ato Entertainment.
Early life
Han So-hee was raised in Ulsan. Her parents divorced when she was about five years old, after which she was brought up by her grandmother. During her school years, she developed a strong interest in visual arts, particularly painting. After graduating from high school, she moved to Seoul to pursue a career in the arts. She initially planned to study fine arts in France but was unable to do so due to financial constraints.
While living in Seoul, she supported herself through various part-time jobs, including modeling, commercial work, and shifts at a bar. During this period, she was discovered by a management company and encouraged to try acting, which marked the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.
Career
Han So-hee made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2016, appearing in the music video for “Tell Me What To Do” by the group SHINee. In 2017, she began her acting career with a supporting role in the SBS television series Reunited Worlds and appeared in MBC’s Money Flower. In 2018, she starred in the tvN historical drama 100 Days My Prince and held a leading role in the KBS Drama Special: After the Rain on KBS2. That same year, she appeared in the music video for Roy Kim’s “The Hardest Part.” In 2019, she was cast in the tvN fantasy series Abyss.
In 2020, Han So-hee portrayed Yeo Da-kyung in the JTBC drama The World of the Married. At the time of its broadcast, the series achieved the highest viewership ratings in the history of South Korean cable television. In 2021, she took on leading roles in two major television projects: the JTBC romantic drama Nevertheless as Yoo Na-bi, and the Netflix crime-action series My Name as Ji-woo. Her performance in My Name earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards.
In 2022, she starred alongside Park Hyung-sik in the Disney+ limited series Soundtrack #1. Later that year, she appeared in a promotional teaser for Kakao’s webtoon adaptation The Villainess Is a Marionette. In 2023, Han So-hee starred opposite Park Seo-joon in the Netflix period thriller Gyeongseong Creature. She also appeared in the music video for “Seven” by Jungkook of BTS.
In 2024, the second season of Gyeongseong Creature premiered globally on Netflix on September 27. During the same year, she was confirmed to star in the film Project Y alongside Jeon Jong-seo, with filming scheduled for the second half of the year. She was also appointed as the global ambassador for the home appliance brand Shark.
In 2025, Project Y was selected to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and was included in the lineup for the Busan International Film Festival. That same year, Han So-hee held her first global fanmeeting tour, titled 2025 Han So-hee 1st Fanmeeting World Tour – Xohee Loved Ones, covering Asia, Europe, and North America. She was also cast as Jules Ostin in the South Korean remake of The Intern, a role originally performed by Anne Hathaway.
