Early Life
Leo Wu grew up in Shanghai and also lived for a time in Chengdu, Sichuan. His family includes his parents and an elder sister. He appeared in commercials as early as age three and began acting in children’s television series. In 2018, Wu was admitted to the Beijing Film Academy with the highest national entrance score in the performance major, cementing his academic and professional potential from an early stage.
Career
Wu Lei began his artistic career in 2002 at just three years old, appearing in TV commercials. In 2007, he made his television debut in the mythological drama The Legend and the Hero as a child actor, paving the way for his professional acting career.
Between 2006 and 2012, Wu appeared in numerous well-known TV dramas such as The Young Warriors (2006) and played Nezha in The Legend and the Hero (2007). In 2009, he won the ‘Outstanding Child Actor Award’ at the Flying Apsaras Awards for the sitcom Home with Aliens.
