Shortly afterward, she made her official debut as an actress. Since then, Park has been active primarily in television dramas and films, while also lending her voice to several original soundtracks. In 2023, she released her first single, marking her professional entry into the music industry alongside her acting career.

Early life

Park Hye-soo was born in Seoul, South Korea. She studied Korean Literature at Ewha Womans University before deciding to pursue a career in the arts. During her school years, she showed a natural talent for music and demonstrated strong language skills, particularly in Mandarin. Her appearance on K-pop Star 4 became the turning point that introduced her to the entertainment world and paved the way for her future as both an actress and a singer.

Career

Park Hye-soo began her career in 2014 when she appeared as a contestant on the SBS talent competition K-pop Star 4. Following the show, she signed with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment and made her transition into acting.

In 2015, she landed a supporting role in the SBS medical drama Yong-pal. The following year, Park took on her first leading role in the JTBC coming-of-age series Hello, My Twenties! In 2017, she appeared in SBS’s historical drama Saimdang, Memoir of Colors and starred in the tvN romantic comedy Introverted Boss.

Between 2018 and 2020, Park shifted her focus to film, appearing in the musical drama Swing Kids (2018) and the workplace comedy Samjin Company English Class (2020). During this period, she also became active in fashion photoshoots and endorsements for various consumer brands in South Korea.

In 2021, she was cast as the female lead in the KBS2 drama Dear.M. However, the series was postponed indefinitely due to personal controversies and was eventually released in limited form through international streaming in 2022. That same year, Park returned to cinema with the independent feature The Dream Songs (also known as You and I), which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.

After nearly two years on hiatus, Park released her first solo single in October 2023. The track marked her official entry into the music scene, following years of contributing to original soundtracks. Prior to its release, she performed the song live at the Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival in August 2023.

In 2024, she participated in the Gyeonggi 2024 Visual Arts Intensive Discovery Program, organized by the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, in preparation for an exhibition scheduled in 2025. That same year, she opened a café in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

As of 2025, Park Hye-soo has not announced any new film or music projects. Her recent activities have primarily centered on independent arts and personal ventures outside mainstream entertainment.
