Park Hye-soo (born November 24, 1994) is a South Korean actress and singer. She first gained public recognition as a contestant on the reality television show K-pop Star 4 in 2014. Following the competition, she established a career in acting, primarily appearing in television series and films while contributing to various original soundtracks.

Early life

Park Hye-soo was born in Seoul, South Korea. She studied Korean Language and Literature at Ewha Womans University before pursuing a career in the arts. During her academic years, she demonstrated an aptitude for music and linguistics, specifically Mandarin Chinese. Her appearance on K-pop Star 4 served as a turning point, facilitating her entry into the entertainment industry and laying the foundation for her subsequent roles as an actress and singer.

Career

Park Hye-soo began her professional career in 2014 by participating in the SBS talent competition K-pop Star 4. After the show concluded, she signed with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment and transitioned into acting.

In 2015, she played a supporting role in the SBS medical drama Yong-pal. The following year, Park Hye-soo earned her first leading role in the JTBC youth drama Hello, My Twenties! (also known as Age of Youth), which increased her public profile. During the same year, she made her film debut in the romantic fantasy production Will You Be There?.

In 2017, she appeared in the SBS historical drama Saimdang, Memoir of Colors and starred in the tvN romantic comedy Introverted Boss.

Between 2018 and 2020, Park Hye-soo focused on cinema, starring in Swing Kids (2018) and Samjin Company English Class (2020). During this period, she also participated in fashion editorials and served as a brand ambassador for various consumer labels in South Korea.

In 2021, she was cast as the female lead in the KBS2 drama Dear.M. However, the broadcast schedule was postponed indefinitely due to personal controversies, and the series was later released on international streaming platforms in 2022. That same year, she returned to film with the independent project The Dream Songs (also known as You and I), which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.

After a nearly two-year hiatus, Park Hye-soo released her debut solo single in October 2023, marking her formal entry into the music market beyond soundtrack contributions. She had previously performed the song live at the Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival in August 2023 and has since expanded her activities in music alongside her acting career.

In 2024, she participated in the 2024 Gyeonggi Visual Arts Intensive Discovery Program organized by the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation in preparation for an exhibition in 2025. Additionally, she opened a cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. Meanwhile, Dear.M aired on KBS Joy in April 2024 after a three-year delay and is scheduled for broadcast on KBS2 in July 2025 during the Wednesday–Thursday time slot.

In July 2025, the television series Dear.M was scheduled to air on KBS2 in the Wednesday–Thursday time slot after having previously aired on KBS Joy in April 2024; during the same month, Park Hye-soo was reported to be personally operating a café in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where she was involved in baking bread, preparing coffee, and designing the café’s interior, before returning to social media activity in September 2025 after a hiatus of four years and six months and continuing to share everyday photos from the café, as well as posting multiple selfie images on SNS in December 2025.
