EVERGLOW is a South Korean girl group active in the K-pop industry. The group debuted on March 18, 2019, under Yue Hua Entertainment with six members. As of September 2025, the group operates as a four-member unit consisting of Sihyeon, E:U, Onda, and Aisha under CHXXTA Company.

Member Mia left the group for personal reasons, and Yiren continues her solo activities because she is still under contract with Yuehua China.

Name meaning

The name EVERGLOW signifies “Always glowing,” representing the group’s determination, energy, and potential. The name is stylized as ΣVΣRGLOW, utilizing the Sigma symbol (Σ) in place of the letter “E”. The official greeting is “Ready? All Light! Hello, we are EVERGLOW!”.

Fandom and lightstick

The official fandom name, FOREVER, was announced on August 19, 2019, during the showcase for the second single album Hush. The name combines the words “For” and “Everglow,” symbolizing that the fans exist for EVERGLOW and aim to become one with the group. Prior to the official announcement, fans utilized the unofficial name “glowsticks.”

EVERGLOW does not have an official lightstick issued by the agency. The official representative colors are purple, pink, and red. Unofficial lightstick versions available on the market feature seven LED colors and two lighting modes, powered by two AA batteries.

Career

EVERGLOW has five music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube. The music video for “DUN DUN” surpassed 240 million views and approximately 4 million likes. The single “FIRST” sold over 80,000 copies in the United States and reached number five on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.

The group utilizes a girl crush concept and maintains a significant following in Southeast Asia and South America. The debut single album Arrival of EVERGLOW, featuring the title track “Bon Bon Chocolat,” peaked at number five on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The album Last Melody, released on May 25, 2021, topped the Hanteo Daily Chart and sold over 52,000 copies within its first two months of release. Members Sihyeon and Yiren participated in the survival show Produce 48, while Onda was a contestant on Idol School.

Awards

In 2019, EVERGLOW received nominations for Artist of the Year, Best New Female Artist, and Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. The group was also nominated for New Artist of the Year – Album at the Gaon Chart Music Awards.

In 2020, EVERGLOW was nominated for the New Artist Award, Popularity Award, QQ Music Most Popular K-Pop Artist Award, and Hallyu Special Award at the Seoul Music Awards. The group also received a nomination for Best Korean Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2020. On September 24, 2019, the group earned its first music show win on The Show with the song “Adios.”

In 2021, EVERGLOW won the Best Music Video Award for “First” at the Asia Artist Awards. In 2023, the group received the Post-Generation Award at the Hanteo Music Awards. On August 30, 2023, the group earned its third music show win on MBC M’s Show Champion with the song “SLAY.”

In September 2025, EVERGLOW was nominated for the Girl Group Popularity Award at the Asia Artist Awards 2025. In November 2025, the group won the Popularity Award (Singer) at the Asia Model Awards.

EVERGLOW has maintained a girl crush concept since debut. Their music incorporates elements of trap, EDM, and synthwave, characterized by heavy drum trap, distorted 808 bass, brass stabs, and electronic synth leads.
