Bae (born Bae Jin-sol on December 28, 2004) is a South Korean singer. She is a lead vocalist and dancer for the South Korean girl group NMIXX under JYP Entertainment.

Early life

Bae was born in Saha-gu, Busan, and raised in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. She attended Yangsan Seonam Elementary School and Mulgeum Dong-a Middle School. She initially attended Yangsan Girls’ High School before transferring to Hanlim Multi Arts High School, where she majored in Broadcasting & Entertainment.

In 2018, during her eighth-grade year, Bae was street-cast by a JYP Entertainment scout while leaving school with friends. She signed as a trainee with JYP Entertainment later that year. In 2019, she appeared in the JYP Trainee Mini Showcase alongside future NMIXX members Lily, Haewon, JINI, Jiwoo and Kyujin.

Career

In 2021, on October 7, she appeared in a video introducing the fifth member of an upcoming girl group under the stage name Bae, through a cover video of Dua Lipa’s song “Break My Heart.”

In 2022, on January 26, JYP Entertainment officially announced the group name NMIXX, with Bae included in the confirmed lineup. On February 22, she made her debut as a lead vocalist and dancer of NMIXX with the single album Ad Mare and its title track “O.O.” On September 19, she participated in the group’s comeback with the single album Entwurf and the title track “Dice,” promoting on music shows and through various promotional activities. On November 23, Bae recorded and released the digital single “Funky Glitter Christmas” together with NMIXX.

In 2023, on February 20, Bae graduated from Hanlim Multi Arts High School. On March 20, she released NMIXX’s first EP, Expérgo, with the title track “Love Me Like This,” in which she took on prominent vocal parts in multiple sections. From May to June, she participated in the NMIXX Showcase Tour Nice To MIXX You, holding 13 performances across the United States and Asia, and appeared in stage performances and behind the scenes video content. On July 11, Bae took part in promotions for the group’s single album A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream on music programs. In August, she appeared as a guest on the program School Bells Ringing, where she shared her experiences related to her studies and artistic activities. In November, Bae joined members Haewon and Jiwoo on the JTBC reality television program Work Ends With The Last Drink.

In 2024, on January 15, Bae released NMIXX’s second EP, Fe3O4: Break, contributing vocals across the album’s tracks. In April, she appeared on ASAP Studio’s program A Person Who Gave Up Work, where she taught NMIXX choreography to senior participants. On August 19, she participated in the group’s comeback with their third EP, Fe3O4: Stick Out, performing on music shows and at festivals.

In 2025, on March 17, Bae released NMIXX’s fourth EP, Fe3O4: Forward, in which she recorded the track “Know About Me” and performed on music programs. On October 13, she participated in the release of the group’s first full length studio album Blue Valentine, contributing vocals to multiple tracks. On November 29, Bae began NMIXX’s first concert and world tour, NMIXX 1st World Tour <Episode 1: Zero Frontier>, at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, performing a setlist that included “O.O,” “Soñar (Breaker),” “Byeolbyeolbyeol (See that?),” “DASH,” and other songs.
