Park Ji-won (born May 19, 1998), known professionally as E:U, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. She debuted as a member of the girl group EVERGLOW under Yuehua Entertainment on March 18, 2019. E:U serves as the main rapper and main dancer of the group. She held the position of the group’s first leader from their debut until May 2021, when Sihyeon assumed the role.
Early life
In 1998, E:U was born on May 19 in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In 2017, E:U joined Yuehua Entertainment as the agency’s first female trainee. After approximately two years of training, she became the first confirmed member of EVERGLOW.
Career
In 2017, E:U served as the primary MC for the television program Cooking Class, hosting the first 30 episodes.
In 2018, E:U appeared as a guest on the programs Idol Room and Soo Mi’s Side Dishes during her trainee period.
In 2019, on March 18, E:U debuted as a member, leader, main rapper, and main dancer of EVERGLOW. She contributed to the lyrics of the track “Moon” from the group’s debut single album, Arrival of Everglow. In July, E:U made a cameo appearance in the fourth episode of the television drama When the Devil Calls Your Name. Throughout the year, she participated in various variety shows, including Run.wav, Q&A Machine, Everglow LAND, Ring My Bell: Everglow, and Transonglation, while also serving as the main MC for EVERGLOW Behind.
In 2020, E:U appeared on 2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships, Good Girl, Idol House, and Idol League Season 3. In September, she wrote the lyrics for the title track “La Di Da” from the group’s second mini-album, -77.82X-78.29.
In 2021, E:U appeared on Studio Moon Night and K-Pop Evolution. In 2021, on May 25, during the showcase for the single album Last Melody, E:U transferred the leader position to Sihyeon after two years in the role.
In 2022, E:U participated in the 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships Chuseok Special.
In 2023, in August, she wrote the lyrics for “Oh Ma Ma God” from the single album All My Girls.
In 2024, in September, E:U commenced the 2024 EVERGLOW Tour <Pulse & Heart> with the group, which continued until March 2025.
In 2025, in September, E:U, along with members Sihyeon, Onda, and Aisha, signed with CHXXTA Company to continue activities as a four-member lineup following the departures of Mia and Yiren from the group.
