Hong Eunchae (born November 10, 2006) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. She is a member of the girl group LE SSERAFIM under Source Music and HYBE, serving as a vocalist, lead dancer, and the youngest member (maknae). Hong Eunchae officially debuted with LE SSERAFIM on May 2, 2022, with the release of the mini album FEARLESS.
Early life
Hong Eunchae was born in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and later moved with her family to Namhyeon-dong, Gwanak-gu. She has an older brother, born in 2003, who was a baseball player. Hong Eunchae attended Seoul Sadang Elementary School, Inhun Middle School, and Seoul Moonyoung Girls’ High School.
During elementary school, Hong Eunchae developed an interest in dance through K-pop and attended after-school dance classes. In middle school, Hong Eunchae participated in the student council and an athletics club. At the age of 12, Hong Eunchae enrolled at DEF Dance Skool, where she trained for nearly two years. Hong Eunchae auditioned for JYP Entertainment and met Huening Bahiyyih of Kep1er during a 2019 audition.
Career
In 2022, Source Music revealed Hong Eunchae as the third member of LE SSERAFIM on April 6. She debuted on May 2 as a vocalist, lead dancer, and maknae through the mini album FEARLESS. Hong Eunchae subsequently participated in the mini album ANTIFRAGILE in October and appeared as a guest on the program Music Bank in December.
In 2023, Hong Eunchae became a permanent MC for KBS’s Music Bank on February 10, co-hosting with Lee Chae-min. In March, she launched her individual web variety show, Eunchae’s Star Diary. Hong Eunchae participated in the group’s first studio album, UNFORGIVEN, in May, contributing lyrics to the track “Fire in the Belly.” From May, she began co-hosting Music Bank with Moon Sang-min. Between August and October, Hong Eunchae performed in the FLAME RISES concert tour across Asia, and in November, she debuted her YouTube series, Eunchae’s Hobby Diary.
In 2024, Hong Eunchae participated in the mini album EASY in February and the mini album CRAZY in August, for which she co-wrote the lyrics for “Crazier.” She concluded her tenure as a permanent MC for Music Bank on September 27 after 19 months. In December, Hong Eunchae returned as a special MC for the Music Bank Global Festival in Japan alongside Shin Ye-eun and Moon Sang-min.
In 2025, Hong Eunchae participated in the mini album HOT in March and began the EASY CRAZY HOT world tour in April, starting in Incheon and traveling to countries including the United States and Japan. In October, she released the single album SPAGHETTI in collaboration with j-hope of BTS. On December 31, Hong Eunchae performed at Times Square, New York, for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026.
In 2026, Hong Eunchae attended the Coach x Matin Kim Pop-Up opening event at Lotte Department Store Avenuel in Seoul on January 10. She is scheduled to perform in the encore concerts of the EASY CRAZY HOT tour in Seoul on January 31 and February 2.
