Huh debuted with the group on May 2, 2022, with the release of their debut EP Fearless under the management of Source Music and Hybe Corporation.

Early life

Huh Yunjin was born in Irwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. At eight months old, her family emigrated to the United States, where she was raised in Albany, New York, under the English name Jennifer Huh. While attending Niskayuna High School, she participated in the choir as a mezzo-soprano and was active in the drama club, performing in musical theater productions despite a lack of formal vocal training.

At the age of 16, Huh moved to South Korea to pursue a career as a K-pop idol. She became a trainee at various entertainment agencies, including SM Entertainment in 2016 and later Pledis Entertainment.

Career

In 2016, Huh joined SM Entertainment as a trainee at age 14 and departed the company after one year. In 2017, she received an invitation from Pledis Entertainment, successfully passing the audition and beginning her training in early 2018.

In 2018, Huh represented Pledis Entertainment alongside Lee Ga-eun on the Mnet survival reality show Produce 48. She was eliminated in episode 11, finishing in 26th place, and subsequently returned to the United States. In 2019, she transferred to the Applied Music department at Hanlim Multi Art School.

In 2020, following the acquisition of Pledis Entertainment by Hybe Labels, Huh transferred to Source Music. After being eliminated during a monthly evaluation, she returned to the United States for approximately 18 months and completed college enrollment procedures for a business major in Boston. In 2021, she abandoned these plans after being contacted again by Source Music to debut with LE SSERAFIM. She officially signed with Source Music on August 24, 2021.

On March 14, 2022, Source Music announced the formation of LE SSERAFIM, and Huh was introduced as the sixth member on April 9. She debuted as the main vocalist on May 2 with the mini album FEARLESS, contributing as a songwriter for the track “Blue Flame.” On August 9, she released her first solo single, “Raise y_our glass.” Later that year, she co-wrote “Impurities,” “No Celestial,” and “Good Parts (When the Quality Is Bad but I Am)” for the mini album ANTIFRAGILE.

In 2023, Huh released her second solo single “I ≠ DOLL” on January 9, followed by “love you twice” on March 13. She served as the main producer and songwriter for “FEARNOT (Between you, me and the lamppost)” on the studio album UNFORGIVEN. Her fourth solo single, “blessing in disguise,” was released on August 13. She also contributed to the Japanese B-side “Jewelry (Prod. imase)” and the digital single “Perfect Night.”

In 2024, Huh collaborated with j-hope of BTS on the track “i don’t know” for the album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1. In April, she performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with LE SSERAFIM. She served as a producer and vocal arranger for “Crazier” on the mini album CRAZY and was credited as a songwriter for the title track “Crazy.”

In 2025, Huh participated in the “Easy Crazy Hot Tour,” a world tour consisting of 31 performances across Asia and North America. In May, she was absent from performances in Nagoya and Osaka due to lower back pain. On October 24, she co-produced the single album SPAGHETTI and co-wrote the B-side “Pearlies (My Oyster Is the World).”

On January 9, 2026, Huh released her fifth solo single “jellyfish.” On January 31 and February 1, she performed at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul for the encore concerts concluding the world tour.
