Kyujin (born Jang Kyu-jin on May 26, 2006) is a South Korean singer under JYP Entertainment. Kyujin is the main dancer and the youngest member of the girl group NMIXX.
Early life
Kyujin was born in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Kyujin has an older brother born in 2004. Kyujin graduated from Bundang Central Kindergarten and Unjung Elementary School, having previously attended Seongnam Songhyeon Elementary School.
Kyujin attended Nakwon Middle School and later specialized in entertainment at Hanlim Multi Art School. Kyujin was a student at the Withbill Dance Academy. In 2018, while in the fifth grade, Kyujin joined JYP Entertainment through a private audition.
Career
In 2018, Kyujin became a trainee at JYP Entertainment after performing Taeyeon’s “Fine” during the audition process. On August 6, 2021, JYP Entertainment announced Kyujin as a member of the girl group NMIXX.
On February 22, 2022, Kyujin debuted with NMIXX with the single album Ad Mare, serving as the main dancer, main rapper, sub-vocalist, and youngest member.
In 2023, Kyujin served as a special MC for the music program Show! Music Core. In April, Kyujin appeared on the program Eunchae’s Star Diary alongside Hong Eunchae.
In 2024, Kyujin served as a special MC for the music programs Show Champion and Inkigayo. On May 31, Kyujin launched the web series JYU-KYU-MI with Jiwoo on the official NMIXX YouTube channel.
In 2025, Kyujin served as a special MC for Show Champion and M Countdown. On March 17, Kyujin appeared on Lee Mujin Service, performing the songs “KNOW ABOUT ME”, “Motivation” by Normani, “Sugar” by 15&, and “ONLY” by Lee Hi. Kyujin also recorded the track “Ridin'” with Lily and Jiwoo for the album World of Street Woman Fighter Original Vol.2.
