Lee Know (born Lee Min-ho; October 25, 1998) is a South Korean singer and a member of the boy group Stray Kids under JYP Entertainment. He serves as the main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist. Lee Know was born in Gimpo, South Korea.
Early life
Lee Know was raised in Gimpo, where he attended Daegot Elementary School and Daegot Middle School. During his elementary years, he intended to become a police officer, but shifted his interest toward architecture during middle school.
Lee Know began practicing dance in middle school after viewing online performance videos. He practiced independently before mirrors and later trained at Soul Dance for five years until his debut. During high school, he held various part-time positions, including working as a dance instructor and at a local grill restaurant.
After leaving Gimpo Jeil Technical High School, Lee Know was discovered through a dance competition. He auditioned for JYP Entertainment in 2016 with John Park’s “Thought of You.” He remained a trainee for one year before participating in the survival reality show Stray Kids in 2017.
Career
In early 2017, Lee Know performed as a backup dancer for BTS during the Wings tour in Japan. He officially joined JYP Entertainment in July 2017 and was selected for the survival show Stray Kids in October.
Although Lee Know was eliminated in the fourth episode, he was reinstated in the final episode by Park Jin Young based on audience feedback. In January 2018, he released the pre-debut EP Mixtape with Stray Kids and officially debuted on March 25, 2018, with the mini-album I Am Not.
In 2019, Lee Know choreographed and performed the solo dance piece “Dawn” and served as a special MC on Show Champion.
In August 2021, Lee Know became a fixed MC for MBC’s Show! Music Core alongside Minju and Jungwoo (NCT), later receiving a Rookie Award nomination at the 2021 MBC Entertainment Awards. That same month, Stray Kids’ album Noeasy sold over 1,127,800 copies, becoming the first million-selling album for both the group and JYP Entertainment.
In March 2022, the album Oddinary reached number one on the Billboard 200. In December 2022, Lee Know released the solo track “Limbo” and the collaboration “Drive” with Bang Chan as part of the digital album SKZ-Replay.
In November 2023, the album Rock-Star became the group’s fourth consecutive number one on the Billboard 200, while the track “Lalalala” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 90. During this year, Lee Know appeared in Dazed magazine with Dior and W magazine with Gucci.
In February 2024, Lee Know was appointed the youngest member of the Bob Pierce Honor Club after donating 100 million won to World Vision. In August 2024, he performed the unreleased solo track “Youth” during the Dominate World Tour; the song was later included in the album Hop, released on December 13, 2024.
In April 2025, Lee Know released the track “Start!” with Seungmin and I.N for the tvN original soundtrack Resident Playbook.
