Mai (born Tomioka Mai on October 28, 2004) is a Japanese singer and dancer. She is a member of the South Korean girl group izna, managed by WAKEONE Entertainment, where she serves as a dancer. Mai debuted with the group on November 25, 2024, with the release of their debut mini album, N/a.
Early life
Mai was born in Gotō, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, and raised in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. She attended Kanagawa Prefectural Ichigao High School, where she served as one of the captains of the dance club. Prior to her debut, Mai underwent idol training at Acopia World Academy. She passed the audition for WAKEONE in the autumn of 2022.
Career
In 2024, Mai participated as a trainee under WAKEONE in the Mnet survival show I-LAND 2: N/a. On July 4, she was selected for the final debut lineup of the girl group formed through the program. Mai debuted as a member of izna on November 25, 2024, with the release of the group’s debut extended play (EP), N/a.
In 2025, on March 31, Mai participated in the release of the digital single “Sign” with izna. On June 9, she was involved in the release of the digital single “Beep”. On September 30, Mai participated in the release of the group’s second EP, Not Just Pretty.
