Miihi, whose full name is Suzuno Miihi, was born on August 12, 2004, in Kyoto, Japan. She is a Japanese singer and dancer currently managed by JYP Entertainment. Miihi is a member of the girl group NiziU, serving as a sub-vocalist and main dancer.
Early life
Miihi is the youngest in her family and has an older brother. She attended Tinkerbell Music School in Kyoto, where she quickly developed her singing and dancing skills. Before joining the Nizi Project, Miihi was already a trainee at JYP Entertainment alongside Rima and Mako. She began her training in late 2018 or early 2019 and was discovered while attending a TWICE concert in Japan.
In 2017, after attending a TWICE concert at Osaka Dome with her mother, Miihi became inspired by the stage and decided to pursue a career as a singer. Later that year, she took part in a live audition held by JYP Entertainment in Tokyo, passed the selection round, and officially became a JYP trainee at the age of 14.
Career
In 2020, Miihi participated in the survival show Nizi Project, where she ranked sixth in the final standings and debuted as a member of the girl group NiziU under JYP Entertainment. Due to her clear vocal tone and prominent visuals, she quickly became recognized as an ace within the group’s cute concept.
In August 2020, Miihi appeared alongside five other members in the music video for “God’s Menu” by Stray Kids. On October 23, 2020, she began a temporary hiatus due to health reasons, leading to her absence from most of NiziU‘s debut promotional activities. On December 2, 2020, NiziU officially debuted in Japan with the single “Step and a Step”. Although Miihi held the positions of lead vocalist and lead dancer, she remained on break during the initial release period. She officially resumed her activities with the group on December 20, 2020.
Starting in 2021, Miihi began taking on opening verses and the center position for dance sequences in singles such as “Take a Picture” and “Poppin’ Shakin’”, marking a transition from her initial sweet image to a more polished, bright pop style. The mini-album Coconut (2022) served as a significant milestone, featuring Miihi prominently in various hook and bridge sections.
In 2022, Miihi participated in NiziU‘s first Japan tour, “Light It Up”, from August to October, followed by their first dome tour, “Burn It Up”, held at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka from November to December. During this year, she released the singles “Clap Clap” on July 20 and “Blue Moon” on December 14.
In 2023, Miihi released her solo track “Twilight Smile” as part of the album U. On July 19, she released the group’s second studio album, Coconut, and participated in their second concert tour from July to September, consisting of 17 performances. On October 30, 2023, she made her Korean debut with NiziU through the single album Press Play and its title track “Heartris”.
In 2024, Miihi released “Memories” in February for a Universal Studios Japan advertising campaign, followed by “Sweet Nonfiction” in March for the Lovesick Ellie film soundtrack. On July 24, 2024, she released the EP Rise Up with NiziU, which included the opening and ending theme songs for the second season of the anime Tower of God. In November 2024, she embarked on the group’s third concert tour, “Awake”, scheduled to run through February 2025.
In 2025, Miihi released the EP Awake on February 5 and the second Korean single album Love Line on March 31. On May 26, 2025, she released the Japanese version of “Love Line”. On November 19, 2025, Miihi released the third studio album, New Emotion, with NiziU.
