Onda, born Cho Se-rim on May 18, 2000, is a South Korean singer and dancer associated with the girl group EVERGLOW under Yuehua Entertainment. She serves as the lead dancer and lead vocalist of the group.
Early life
Onda was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She graduated from Gyeonggi International Trade High School. She studied piano during her childhood. Prior to joining Yuehua Entertainment in June 2018, Onda was a member of a dance team in Bucheon and trained at a practical music academy in the same city.
In 2017, Onda participated in the Mnet survival reality show Idol School under her birth name, Jo Serim. She was eliminated in the fourth episode, finishing in 40th place. After departing from Stone Music Entertainment, she joined Yuehua Entertainment in June 2018, having the shortest training period among the members of EVERGLOW.
Career
In February 2019, Yuehua Entertainment introduced Onda as the third member of the new girl group EVERGLOW through a “Crank in Film” video with the nickname “4D Charm Girl.” On March 18, 2019, she debuted as the lead dancer and lead vocalist of EVERGLOW. In September 2019, she achieved her first music show win with the group on SBS M’s The Show for the track “Adios.”
In 2020, Onda appeared as a guest in the eighth episode of the program Good Girl. She also participated in the 2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships as a regular member and continued hosting Everglow’s Epic Log Season 3 (9 episodes). In March 2020, she embarked on the group’s first tour, the Everlasting Tour in the United States, which consisted of six stops; however, the final performance in Los Angeles on March 12 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Onda won a second music show trophy on June 1 with “First” on The Show.
In 2022, Onda participated in the 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships Chuseok Special as a regular member. She also appeared as a guest in the 26th episode of the program Kim Goo Ra’s Latte 9.
In July 2022, she performed with EVERGLOW at the Saranghae KSA K-pop Festival 2022 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking the first appearance of a K-pop girl group in the country. In August 2022, she participated in the first solo concert by a K-pop group in Kazakhstan, held in Almaty. On November 18, 2022, she released the single “Ghost Light” with EVERGLOW, a collaboration with German DJ and producer TheFatRat, which included both English and Korean versions.
In 2023, she participated in the All My Girls tour across the United States, Europe, and Japan from November 2023 to April 2024. On August 30, 2023, she secured a third music show win on MBC M’s Show Champion with the track “Slay.”
In 2024, Onda joined the Pulse & Heart tour, featuring 11 stops in the United States and South America starting from September 12. In December 2024, she launched a personal YouTube channel titled “On Sesang Serim” and an Instagram account @comming_onda to share lifestyle content.
In 2025, Onda departed Yuehua Entertainment following the expiration of her contract in June. In September 2025, she, along with Sihyeon, E:U, and Aisha, signed with Chxxta Company to continue activities as a four-member lineup of EVERGLOW.
