SinB, whose real name is Hwang Eun-bi, was born on June 3, 1998, in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. She is a singer, dancer, and actress under BPM Entertainment. SinB is a member of the girl group VIVIZ, serving as the main dancer and vocalist. She was previously a member of the girl group GFriend from 2015 to 2021.
Early life
SinB attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), one of South Korea’s most prestigious arts schools, and graduated in 2017 alongside Umji, who later became her teammate in VIVIZ.
During elementary school, SinB joined a small dance group under her parents’ guidance, where she first met Eunha (Jung Eun-bi). Initially, her family considered having her debut as a child singer, but SinB eventually focused on dance training and only made occasional television appearances.
Career
In 2010, SinB began her career as a trainee at Big Hit Entertainment, where she trained for two years. She later moved to LOEN Entertainment for one year before joining Source Music.
On January 15, 2015, SinB officially debuted as the main dancer, vocalist, and center of the girl group GFriend through their first EP, Season of Glass.
On August 26, 2016, she released the OST track “Confession” (feat. Sijin) for Cinderella and Four Knights OST Part. 3.
In 2018, SinB took part in the special collaboration “Wow Thing” with Seulgi (Red Velvet), Soyeon (i-dle), and Chungha as part of SM Entertainment’s Station X 0 project.
In 2021, she released the OST “Loveable” for A Love So Beautiful OST Part. 2. In December 2021, SinB was announced as an MC for Style Me Season 2 on Dong-A TV, beginning on January 9, 2022. After GFriend disbanded in May 2021 due to the members not renewing their contracts with Source Music, SinB, along with Eunha and Umji, signed with Big Planet Made Entertainment in October 2021.
In 2022, SinB made her second debut as a member of VIVIZ with their first EP, Beam of Prism, released on February 9, with the title track “BOP BOP!”. She also expanded into hosting, serving as an MC for Style Me Season 2 on Dong-A TV starting in January 2022.
In 2023, SinB mainly focused on group activities with VIVIZ, releasing two mini albums, VarioUS (January) and Versus (November). The group also held international fan meeting tours in cities such as Jakarta and Malaysia. Additionally, she appeared as a special guest on episode 5 of Street Woman Fighter 2, although she missed some events in April due to health issues.
In 2024, from June to September, SinB and VIVIZ held their first world tour, V.hind: Love and Tears, with 28 shows across seven countries, including Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, the United States, and Japan. In September, she reunited with the members of GFriend for their 10th anniversary project album, Season of Memories.
In 2025, SinB released her solo track “Hipnotic” as part of VIVIZ’s first full-length studio album, A Montage of ( ), released in July. That same year, she performed “Hipnotic” on the group’s world tour New Legacy, which began in Seoul and concluded in November, with stops across North America, Asia, and Australia.
