Yunah (born Noh Yun-ah; January 15, 2004) is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member and the leader of the South Korean girl group ILLIT.
Early life
Yunah was born in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province. She was a member of the MBC Chungju Children’s Choir. Prior to her debut, Yunah trained under Stardium Entertainment and Source Music before joining Belift Lab. She participated in the survival audition program R U Next? as a trainee.
Career
In June 2023, Yunah competed in the survival reality show R U Next?, a joint production between HYBE and Belift Lab. She reached the final episode and was selected as one of the members for the new girl group ILLIT.
On January 5, 2024, Belift Lab announced that member Youngseo had departed from the group prior to their debut, and ILLIT would proceed as a five-member ensemble. Yunah officially debuted on March 25, 2024, with the release of the mini-album SUPER REAL ME and its lead single “Magnetic”. Within the group, she serves as the leader and a lead vocalist.
“Magnetic” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 91 and achieved high positions on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. US. The song surpassed 100 million streams on Japan’s Oricon chart within 11 weeks of its release.
In May 2024, ILLIT participated in KCON JAPAN and conducted promotional activities in Japan. In October 2024, the group released their second mini-album I’LL LIKE YOU, featuring the title track “Cherish (My Love)”.
On September 1, 2025, ILLIT made their Japanese debut with the single “Toki Yo Tomare”. In November of the same year, the group received the Excellent Work Award at the Japan Record Awards for the song “Almond Chocolate”. In June 2025, the group released their third mini-album bomb, with the title track “Do The Dance”. Throughout 2025, the group also released the singles “NOT CUTE ANYMORE” and “ALL FOR YOU, 2027”.
