Kelou (Chinese: 可楼; born 2002) is an Austrian singer of Chinese descent. She began her career as a solo vocalist and is currently active in China and internationally.
Early life
Kelou was born and raised in Austria in a Chinese family belonging to the newer generation of the Qingtian overseas Chinese community (青田华侨). Before gaining public recognition, she started uploading short-form music videos on Douyin, covering songs such as The Moon Represents My Heart and other well-known hits, gradually gaining attention from online audiences.
Career
In 2022, Kelou became known for her short singing videos on social media platforms. This activity helped her gain a considerable following and laid the foundation for her entry into the professional music scene.
In early 2023, Kelou appeared in a livestream with content creator Crazy Little Yang (疯狂小杨哥). Following this event, her follower count increased rapidly, opening up opportunities to participate in televised music shows.
In August 2023, she took part in The Voice of China 2023 (中国好声音 2023), produced by Zhejiang Television. For her debut performance on stage, she sang My Beauty (我的美丽) and was chosen to join the team of singer Emil Wakin Chau. This marked her first major appearance on a large stage in China.
