The group originally consisted of four members. Bu Fan established a personal studio in July 2019 and officially terminated his contract with Kunyin Entertainment in 2021.
Group Name Meaning
The name ONER means an “outstanding person” or “something extraordinary.” According to the company, the name reflects expectations for the members’ development and potential throughout their careers.
Prior to their debut as ONER, the members trained under Kunyin Entertainment’s trainee label BC221, beginning in September 2016. On April 16, 2018, the company officially announced the group name ONER, making them the first boy group to debut from the BC221 label.
Fandom and Lightstick
The official fandom name of ONER is 万能人 (Pinyin: wànnéng rén, meaning “Almighty People”). The name reflects the members’ versatile image and is referenced in the song Song of Almighty People (万能人之歌).
Before the official fandom name was announced, during the survival show Idol Producer (2018), the fan community referred to themselves as Kunyin Girls (坤音女孩). This was a fan-created term rather than an official designation.
ONER currently does not have an official lightstick.

The debut album Allergy (过敏, 2018) features an electronic concept combined with choreography. The album Mirror Circus (鏡象馬戲團, 2022) explores a theatrical concept with circus-inspired elements.
The fifth album ONER (ONER, 2024) was released to commemorate the group’s 6th anniversary. The album contains 10 tracks, including Lin Zexu (虎門硝煙), which was inspired by historical events related to Lin Zexu.
