Rinon, born Murakami Rinon (村上 璃杏) on September 30, 2006, is a Japanese singer active in Japan. She debuted as a member of ME:I under LAPONE Girls.
Early Life
Murakami Rinon was born on September 30, 2006, in Misaki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. She grew up in rural Okayama and traveled to school by train each day. She has one younger brother.
Before joining the show, she had no formal training in singing or dancing. She graduated from high school in March 2025, more than a year after debuting with ME:I.
Career
2023
On September 3, 2023, Murakami was announced as a contestant on Produce 101 Japan The Girls, which began airing on Lemino on October 5. In the first episode, she was ranked 84th by her fellow trainees and received a Grade B from the trainers. During the group battle, she performed as the main vocalist for Team HypEST and ranked 14th overall in that round. In the first public ranking announcement, she received 583,977 votes, placing 17th.
On December 16, 2023, Murakami finished the show in 2nd place with 700,305 votes and debuted as a member of ME:I. Following the final results, Misaki Town displayed congratulatory banners at its town hall, drawing attention from local media.
2024
On April 17, 2024, Murakami debuted with ME:I through the group’s first single, MIRAI. On December 31, 2024, she performed with ME:I at NHK’s 75th Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
2025
On August 29, 2025, Murakami appeared as a solo guest on the Fuji TV variety show Zenryoku! Datsuryoku Times (全力！脱力タイムズ).
