Heekie (히키) is the stage name of Byun Seo-young (변서영), a South Korean rapper born on March 17, 2007. She is currently under High Up Entertainment and is the leader and main rapper of the girl group UNCHILD (언차일드).
Early life
Byun Seo-young was born in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu, South Korea. She began training at Def Dance Skool, where her dance and performance skills caught the attention of several entertainment companies.
In 2018, she became a trainee at YG Entertainment. After three years at YG, she moved to Source Music in April 2021, where she continued training for two more years. In April 2023, she joined High Up Entertainment.
Heekie trained for approximately eight years, the longest among the members of UNCHILD.

On March 27, 2026, Heekie was recognized by fans as a member of UNCHILD while the group was filming content at the Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park.
On April 7, 2026, she was officially introduced as a member of UNCHILD under the stage name Heekie.
On April 21, 2026, UNCHILD made their official debut and released their first digital single, “We Are UNCHILD,” alongside a media showcase in Seoul. The showcase took place at Blue Square Woori Won Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu.
At the event, Heekie talked about the group’s choreography process as the leader of UNCHILD: “We created the choreography from start to finish within a limited amount of time, which wasn’t easy at all. Part of me wished we had more time. But working on it together is what got us through, and I’m really glad the dance break we created was selected.”
Popularity
Heekie gained attention through UNCHILD’s debut trailer, in which she performed a creative traffic signal dance routine. UNCHILD is the first girl group to debut under High Up Entertainment in six years, since STAYC debuted in 2020, and the group received attention from international media from the time of their debut.
